Individual session: Tea Time

Are you ready to venture back into the forest?  If you are “Teatime” is the perfect activity for all your little ones in your setting.   In this adventure, we help a squirrel collect food for winter and also help our friend baby bear with household chores – so much to learn by working together.

Why not create a woodland topic table and learn all about the different types of trees, plants and mini-beasts and mammals that live in our woodland – perhaps you will even meet a grass snake on you adventure!

In your adventure together, you will:

• Wake up the Littlemagictrain and hop on board and arrive in a beautiful forest.
• Get out your trusty binoculars and spy baby bear helping squirrel collect food for the winter.
• It will be quicker if we all join in and help. Grab a basket?
• Baby bear invites everyone to tea at home as we are all feeling a bit tired.
• Before tea, we help baby bear with some household chores.
• Baby bear shows us how to put and peg washing on the line.
• Oh dear, we weren’t very good at it as it has all blown off – quick catch that washing!
• After all that hard work it’s time for tea.
• It’s getting late and time to say goodbye to your new friends.
• Wake up the Littlemagictrain to go home.

There are so many opportunities for learning in the adventures. All the planning and hard work has been done for you and the sessions cover all areas of the Foundation Phase and the new EYFS.  These sessions are also a wonderful activity for children with additional learning needs.
