Pack your picnic, gather your little explorers, and hop aboard the Little Magic Train, and we are off to meet amazing animals from all around the world!

We arrive at the zoo, but first we need to buy our tickets! Let’s count our money carefully. Can everyone work out how much they need?

Through the gates we go, and look… a baby Joey is lost! Let’s help him hop back into his mummy kangaroo’s pouch. Can you bounce like a kangaroo?

Next stop.  The flamingo pool! Let’s balance on one leg just like they do. How long can you hold it? Wobble alert!

What’s that over there? It’s the tiger enclosure! Can you pounce and play like a tiger? Don’t get too close… we don’t want to be lunch!

Shhh… a black jaguar is snoozing in the shade. We need to move past him silently so we don’t wake him up.

Before we leave, let’s say goodbye to all our animal friends.  Can you remember where they come from?  Let’s give them a little snack and some water — but mind those fingers near the tiger!

Hop aboard the Little Magic Train and head back home, full of stories and exciting new words.

And of course – every explorer gets a special certificate to take home and proudly share their zoo-tastic journey!

This zoo adventure supports all areas of Early Years learning through playful, active learning. As children move like animals, they build strength, balance, and coordination, supporting their physical development.

Pretending to be tigers, kangaroos, or flamingos sparks rich language and communication, encouraging new words and expressive storytelling.

Exploring habitats and animal behaviours nurtures understanding of the world, while shared imaginative play fosters personal, social, and emotional development, helping little ones build confidence, empathy, and cooperation – all aboard the Little Magic Train! 🚂
