“The Why” AKA “The Neuroscience bit” behind why we encourage you to develop, through repetition, the story and activities in our resources.

Repetition develops and wraps the all-important “Myelin” around the Neurons in the brain.  Myelin originates from, and is part of, the Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system.

“Myelin” allows electrical impulses to transmit efficiently along the nerve cells and is vital for faster processing skills, physical literacy, and language development.

The more cognitively engaging an activity is, the better it is for “Myelin” development and brain health.

We have created multi-sensory resources, our adventures, that encourage movement play through child-led learning and guided play.  The resources have been created specifically to enable repetition in an engaging multi-sensory way for child development.

All you have to do is choose your adventure based on their interests and needs.  Don’t forget each adventure also includes additional resources ranging from Sensory, Speech and Language, STEM, and Yoga to help you invite and engage all children in movement play.

“The little magic train is a wonderful piece of work, it encourages the imagination to bloom, using lovely material, music, and props to entertain and engage those little minds. We at Nanna Maggs Childcare are and will be using this model to encourage independent play through use of language and imagination. Toot, toot! Beautifully put together and enables us to adapt our settings to encourage a delivery of education, language, literature, and music.”
