“The Why” AKA “The Neuroscience Bit” behind why we encourage you to develop, through repetition, the interactive multi-sensory story, and sensory experiences in our resources.
Repetition develops and wraps the all-important “Myelin” around the Neurons in the brain. Myelin originates from, and is part of, the Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system.
“Myelin” allows electrical impulses to transmit efficiently along the nerve cells and is vital for faster processing skills, physical literacy, and language development.
The more cognitively engaging an activity is, the better it is for “Myelin” development and brain health.

Our Littlemagictrain is the bridge between the imaginary and real world for your little ones and importantly he starts and ends your sessions so the children know when the fun is about to start and end. Each adventure has been meticulously crafted to enable repetition in an engaging multi-sensory way for child development and Myelin development AKA “The Neuroscience Bit”.
The simplest way to describe this is to imagine the Littlemagictrain is the bread on each side of a sandwich. As the adventure is developed over days or weeks, the sandwich gets bigger and bigger. The story is the filling of the sandwich.
Littlemagictrain has been designed this way to encourage the repetition for Myelin Development AKA “The Neuroscience Bit’ to develop and build on their fundamental movement skills, communication skills, vocabulary, imagination, confidence, and importantly their well-being.

“The little magic train is a wonderful piece of work, it encourages the imagination to bloom, using lovely material, music, and props to entertain and engage those little minds. We at Nanna Maggs Childcare are and will be using this model to encourage independent play through use of language and imagination. Toot, toot! Beautifully put together and enables us to adapt our settings to encourage a delivery of education, language, literature, and music.”
Zoe Lawton, Nanna Maggs Childcare.
“The staff always join in and I can honestly say it’s one of the best products we’ve ever invested in… no parts to break, and nothing for the children to argue over!
In fact, I just have to blow his whistle, and everyone knows that Simon is ready and waiting to take us on another adventure – all aboard!”
Nicky Sanford, Early Years Teacher, Marcham Pre-school.
